Falcons beat up on Boilers, 17-11
Falcons continued to pile up the runs on Wednesday, scoring four runs in the last two innings, on the way to a 17-11 landslide win over Boilers at Fogelberg.
Falcons scored four runs in the eighth on an RBI single by John Kruk, an error, an RBI single by Al Kaline, and an RBI single by Carlton Fisk.
Warren Spahn racked up three RBIs on two hits for Falcons. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Falcons easily handled Boilers pitching as six hitters combined for 14 hits, 13 RBIs and 14 runs scored.

Falcons Boilers, 10-9 in extra innings
Falcons continued to pile up the runs on Wednesday, scoring four runs in the last four innings, on the way to a 10-9 extra inning win over Boilers at Fogelberg.
Falcons scored three runs in the seventh on an RBI single by Joe Sewell, a groundout by Joe Jackson, and an RBI single by Al Simmons.
Simmons racked up three RBIs on four hits for Falcons.
The lead stayed with Falcons after the third, when it scored two runs on a groundout by Wade Boggs and an RBI triple by Simmons.
Falcons scored one run in the fifth inning, and then followed it up with one more in the tenth. In the fifth, Falcons scored on an RBI double by Al Kaline, bringing home Simmons.
Falcons brought home three runs in the sixth inning, and matched that run total in the seventh. In the sixth, Falcons scored on a solo home run by Billy Williams.

Falcons hit three home runs in the win. Home runs for Falcons came when Kaline homered in the first inning, Harry Heilmann homered in the seventh inning, and Simmons homered in the seventh inning.
Kaline had four extra-base hits for Falcons.
Falcons pounded Boilers pitching, as six hitters combined for 16 hits, 13 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
Falcons answered Boilers’ top inning with two runs of its own in the third. Falcons scored on an RBI double by Billy Williams and an RBI single by Andy Messersmith.
Falcons posted one run in each of the fourth, fifth and eighth. In the fourth, Falcons scored on an error, plating Boggs.

Falcons top Boilers behind Williams’ three hits, 17-10
Wednesday was a great day for Billy Williams, as he clubbed three home runs to carry Falcons to a 17-10 victory over Boilers at Fogelberg.
Williams racked up eight RBIs on three hits for Falcons. He homered in the first, second, and eighth innings.
Thirteen runs in the opening three innings allowed Falcons to easily put away Boilers. An RBI single by Carlton Fisk, a sacrifice fly by Paul Molitor, and a three-run home run by Williams during the first inning and an RBI single by Wade Boggs, an RBI single by Fisk, a groundout by Molitor, and a two-run home run by Williams in the second inning helped Falcons put some runs on the board early.
Falcons hit four home runs in the win. Additional home runs for Falcons came when John Kruk homered in the third inning and Williams homered in the first, second, and eighth innings.
Falcons pounded Boilers pitching, as six hitters combined for 13 hits, 16 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
