Boggstown – Winning 3 of 4 against their American League rival Fogelberg Falcons, The Boggstown Boilers took their first step toward winning the American League of the Kansas City Baseball Quadrangular.
Playing on their home turf in the season opener, the Boilers offense stung Falcons pitching from the first pitch of the series.
“They hit well, but I was really surprised how patient they were,” Flacons manager Don Zimmerman said. “I thought they might bring their hitting sticks with them, but everybody in their lineup seemed to have a focus on drawing walks.”
